MEISTERSTRASSE HANDMADE, exclusively invites you to the Austrian Pavilion at the EXPO 2025 OSAKA.
The AUSTRIAN-JAPANESE EVENING in the Austrian Pavilion at the EXPO will give you an insight into the historic and contemporary crafts culture of Austria and its traditional friendship with the world of manufacturing
in Japan.
In a SHOWCASE FOR CRAFTSMANSHIP, outstanding objects from Austria as well as selected pieces from Japan are presented by their makers personally, all members of MEISTERSTRASSE:
Ceramics, silver cultery, award-winning interior objects, LOBMEYR chandeliers and mouth blown glass, accessories and jewelry reflect the artisanal heritage of both cultures.
Among the evening’s highlights will be a LIVE CONCERTINO on the brand-new BÖSENDORFER Grand Piano 214VC Collector’s Item:
The Great Wave off Kanagawa, one of the Austrian Pavilion’s central exhibits. Japanese pianist Shun Oi, a Mozarteum Salzburg graduate, will perform a program originally played by Austrian diplomat Eugen Freiherr von Ransonnet-Villez for Tenno Meiji in 1869 at the very first concert on a Bösendorfer Grand Piano in Japan.
In a memorable digital performance, Bösendorfer Artist Alexandra Silocea will bring the special piano to life.
The RECEPTION is hosted by MEISTERSTRASSE and LOBMEYR: Austrian wine, Japanese sake and traditional delicacies from Austria are offered.
Digital artist Rebecca Merlic and Elisabeth Noever-Ginthör, director VBA, give a playful introduction to the project KISSATEN VIENNA.
