MEISTERSTRASSE in KYOTO & EXPO OSAKA 2025pp
In April 2025, MEISTERSTRASSE HANDMADE will present outstanding craftsmanship from Austria and Japan as part of an exclusive three-part project.

1. Preview MEISTERSTRASSE in KYOTO (24 April 2025)
A curated selection of masterfully crafted products from both countries will be presented in a historic machiya house in Kyoto – from porcelain, glass and silver to slow fashion and culinary specialities. An authentic cultural programme with tea ceremonies and garden tours will round off the experience. Personal encounters with the master craftsmen will be the focus of attention.

2. Signature Pavilion @ EXPO (26 April 2025, 2–4:30 p.m.)
At the heart of EXPO Osaka 2025, MEISTERSTRASSE invites you to an expert talk on ‘The Future of Craftsmanship in a Globalised World’. Austrian and Japanese designers and entrepreneurs will discuss sustainable design, new markets and international cooperation.

3. Austrian Pavilion @ EXPO (26 April 2025, 6–9 p.m.)
A festive evening with a live concertino on a Bösendorfer grand piano, a glass tasting by Lobmeyr and a showcase for craftsmanship in the Austrian Pavilion at EXPO will form the grand finale of the project. The target audience is trade visitors, the media and invited guests from Japan and Austria.
