Just outside the canals of Dokkum, lies an advanced watch factory, belonging to "Van der Gang Watches". With a passion for perfection and with modern accuracy, Wybe van der Gang and his staff craft watches in small, numbered series. The specialised techniques in making and applying high-quality materials, a detailed and balanced design, are apparent in every watch.

Time-consuming technique for detailed results

Wybe van der Gang founded Van Der Gang Watches in the year 2002. The company is a spin-off from the company he started twelve years earlier: Exakt Fijnmechanika. “We mainly produce small parts with precision for i.a. medical science and the aerospace industry, 24/7.  A timepiece is also a composition of many small parts, which was why it was a fairly predictable move to start his watch factory’’.

Techniques, machinery and equipment developed and used by Exakt, can largely also be used for the production of timepiece components, to establish a full-grown watch manufactory, in which timepiece technology is developed and produced in-house.

Calm in movement, that's what makes a watch a Van der Gang. In a beautiful monumental building in Dokkum, everything is geared to the perfect combination of design and engineering. Making almost no sound, the specialists work on innovative engineering and constructions, in order to create the gems of the Dutch watch manufactory. The used materials, the production techniques and the design all receive the attention which makes a Van der Gang so special. Van der Gang is characterised by minuscule details. This requires a passion for the trade and the final product, high-quality precision engineering and an utter concentration during the production process.
