EUGÈNE  LE MOULT,  BUTTERFLY-HUNTER, 1882-1965

As  a  wealthy  ADVENTURER,  EUGÈNE  LE  MOULT  had  his  clothes  tailored  in  the  1920s-1940s  for  the  28  days  on  SAIL-  or  STEAM-BOATS  from  France  to  equatorial  French  Guiana  and  then  nights  in  the  JUNGLE.

We  adapt  the  shapes  inherited  from  DAD'S  ADVENTURER  GRANDPA,  son  of  France's  pioneering  19th Century  ORGANIC  FARMER.

By  working  to  heritage  materials,  we  source  from  the  original  COTTON  fields  and  produce  long-lasting  clothes  that  are  99.9%  BIODEGRADABLE¹.

By  working  to  heritage  techniques,  we  support  DESCENDANTS  of  the  original  artisans,  as  weavers,  printers,  embroiderers  and  stitchers.

By  working  to  heritage  sources,  our  cotton  fields,  weaving  and  stitching  are  in  the  same  original  region,  requiring  a  MINIMUM  of  transportation.  Our  atelier  only  produces  small  quantities,  with  no  dead  stock.

ABENTEURERKLEIDUNG 🦋 EUGÈNE LE MOULT 1882-1965

Eugène Le Moult wuchs auf der Teufelsinsel auf und entwickelte sich zu einem wohlhabenden ABENTEURER, da er der berühmteste Schmetterlingsjäger der Welt und der einzige Schmetterlingsexporteur der Region war. Er leistete einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Entomologie und machte den blauen Morpho (wie ihn Apple immer noch für sein Emoji verwendet) populär.

Seine PRAKTISCHE und LANGLEBIGE Kleidung wurde sowohl für HEISSE als auch FEUCHTE tropische Expeditionen und 28-tägige EISIGE und WINDIGE Nordatlantiküberquerungen auf ihn zugeschnitten und gewährleistete Funktionalität und Komfort unter verschiedenen Bedingungen, während er sich dennoch an die FORMELLE Etikette der 1920er Jahre für Reisekleidung hielt.
